So we all know that 2020 is not a good year so far.From Australian Bush Fire to American’s downfall due to “Black Lives Matter” movement, the year has been bad so far.

In Pakistan due to Corona Virus, Prime Minister Imran Khan locked the country from 16 March 2020 till now. in that case there was vacations for all students in the country. Now Online classes have been started in various universities in different parts in Pakistan. But the fact is that Pakistan is a third world country and not so much developed yet and Pakistan has the PPP GDP per Capita of 5,839 in 2019, which ranks 132th in the world for 2019. It shows that peoples condition is not so good. On the other hand there is not good internet services. In cities the internet conditions is better but in the other areas, the internet is not available or poor services and also the internet packages is costly that backward’s area students can not afford. Not all students can afford this type of education.

In June 2020, Students called a press conference in Islamabad against Online classes. On social media,Boycott online classes,fee refunding is trending. Students wants a fare,clean and a neat way of teaching from the teachers because most of the teachers do not take classes seriously and remaining teachers don’t know how to take classes. As for Science students,there are labs to be taken but how can the students takes the labs is a big question.

Following are the things students asks from the policies makers.

1. Promote us like you promoted the students from Kindergarten to 12th Standards
2. Give us the fees of hostels and labs and classes because we did not use it the whole academic year.

What should the Students do in this situation

As the students are protesting against online classes, they should do the following things to acquire their objectives

1. Boycott the classes
2. Call a press conference and share their points against online classes until HEC takes a decision.

What should HEC do to solve this dispute

1. Order all universities to give the rightful money to students.
2. In order to make the online education successful, GOVT should provide good internet services in all of the country.
3. Make the online exams fair and neat.
